The Fastest Cars On The Planet for 2017

If you’re a car aficionado, at one time or another, if not throughout your entire life,
you have had an admiration for SPEED. Just how fast will this baby go?

Well, interestingly enough, some of the best designed, best looking production cars on this big globe we walk (and drive) on happen to also be some of the fastest. Non-production cars not included – sorry.

While there are several auto makers that have the intention of bumping some of the cars off of this year’s
list, here are the fastest production cars in 2017…

  • Hennessey’s Venom F5

    Top speed – 301 mph

    2,900 lb. carbon fiber chassis with a 1,600 hp 7.4 liter twin-turbo V8

0 to 249 mph and back to 0 in under 30 seconds!

If you’re looking for confirmation, Guinness Book of World Records has not yet verified the results, so hold on to your cash because you may want to purchase the Koenigsegg Agera RS (the official fastest car in the world) until Guinness gives its final blessing.

  • Koenigsegg Agera RS

We list the Venom F5 as the fastest (because we believe it will be verified soon) but the world-record holder right now is the Agera RS.

This amazing and beautiful Swedish hybrid of art and machine boasts 1,160 hp and officially achieved 284.55 mph (top speed).

  • Hennessey’s Venom GT

    Top speed – 270.4 mph

Discrepancies: due to the fact that this marvelous car is hand-built, there is some debate whether or not it should hold a record since it doesn’t technically qualify as a production car.

  • Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

    Top Speed – 268 mph

Volkswagen set out to build the fastest production cars in the world and they purchased Bugatti to meet that objective. Today they have several of the fastest cars in the world starting with the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (but as you will see on our list it, is not the only super fast Bugatti).

This car is fast, tough, immaculately designed and super fast.

  • Bugatti Chiron

    Top Speed – 261 mph

    1,500 hp

This cool little marvel was named after the centaur (Greek mythology) and is kin to the Bugatti Veyron (next on the list). Sleek, and smooth with gorgeous lines and paint designs, this baby is not only fast but it is also a comprehensive luxury car. Yep, you heard right. In addition, GMAA featured this car on our list of 5 Cars You Want But Can’t Afford.
